Provo City School District

Centennial Middle School

In an attempt to help you with some of the most common questions we get at CMS, here is some general information.

BUS INFORMATION: To see which bus your student rides please do the following

1. Go to the district website at www.provo.edu

2. Select I AM A PARENT

3. Choose VIEW BUS ROUTES

4. On the left hand side of the page fill in the information that is requested. This will give you the bus information. The walking radius is 2 miles, if no bus information is listed you may be in the walking zone.  Bus routes may not be finalized until the first week of August so check closer to the beginning of school for final information.

POWERSCHOOL: Your student should know how to login to Powerschool but just in case here is the information on how you can help them.

Go to www.grades.provo.edu

Student PowerSchool Login Info:

Username: first initial of your first and last name, zero, lunch ID

(ex: aa012345)

Password: date of birth (ex: 12/12/01, 1/2/03)

CLASS SUPPLY LISTS: There are no supply lists in Middle School.  Each teacher will give any information on what is needed on the first day of school in their disclosure document.  We would suggest buying basic school supplies: folders, notebooks or loose leaf paper, one or two binders, pens, pencils etc.

LUNCH MONEY: This year the government will no longer be supplementing school lunch.  The cost for one lunch is $2.50.  You may pay for your student’s lunch by going to www.myschoolbucks.com.  To apply for free and reduced lunches please go to www.myschoolapps.com

CELL PHONE POLICY: No cell phones are allowed at school at any time. Not in classrooms, hallways or lunch. If a cell phone is out it will be taken to the office where the student can pick it up at the end of the day. If it is taken more than three times a parent or guardian will need to come to the school to pick it up. Students may come to the office and use their cell phone to call home, we also have a student phone in the office and each classroom has a phone the students can use to call home. We are also happy to take a note to your student with a message, we do ask that you give us at least 30 minutes to have time to get the message to your student.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! We are looking forward to having your student at CMS!
