Centennial Middle School Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!

Dear CMS Families,

We are excited to welcome you to a new school year at Centennial Middle School!

Introductory Principal’s Message and Podcast Episode Dr. Sean Edwards shares his excitement as he steps into the role of principal. Please see his introductory message here:

Dr. Edwards was also featured on Superintendent Dau’s podcast, ‘Sup with the Sup’. You can listen to the episode or read the transcript here:

No Before School Registration Dates In past years, CMS held before-school registration events where families could pay fees and students could pick up Chromebooks. Due to declining attendance, the cost of staffing these events during summer non-contracted days, and other considerations, we have discontinued them. These activities will now take place at other times. More details are provided below.

Back-to-School Event – Tuesday, August 12 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Join us for our annual evening Back-to-School Event! At this event, families can:

  • Update information in PowerSchool (required annually)
  • Print student schedules
  • Briefly meet teachers
  • Tour the school
  • Join PTA
  • Schedule meetings with counselors
  • Pay school fees
  • Enjoy light refreshments
  • And more!

We look forward to seeing you there!

First Day of School – Wednesday, August 13 The first day of school will be an A Day on our A/B schedule.

A/B Schedule We will follow the A/B schedule used by Provo City School District high schools. This alignment is intended to simplify scheduling for families with students in both middle and high school. View the district calendar here: A/B Schedule and School Year Calendar

This calendar includes key dates like holidays, breaks, and parent-teacher conferences.

Update PowerSchool Information Parents must update PowerSchool information each year. Student schedules will not be visible in PowerSchool until this update is completed. Please take a moment to update your child’s information in PowerSchool.
