I hope that you and your family are enjoying a wonderful summer. I know that for us at Centennial it has been very productive as we prepare for next year. To help your family plan for the fall, I would like to share some important information with you.

TIMBERWOLF CLASS SCHEDULE/ORIENTATION DAYS:  All students are encouraged to attend Timberwolf Orientation Days. This is your opportunity to complete a variety of important tasks, such as paying your fees and then picking up your class schedule, and taking school pictures. We anticipate that it will take approximately 30 minutes to complete all activities. We will be sending out a Sign Up Genius for you to pick a 30 minute window to come and register. Students that do not attend orientation will be unable to pick up their final class schedule until the first day of school.

ONLINE FEE PAYMENT:  Beginning August 9, 2021, parents and students will be able to pay all class fees online.  The site can be accessed from the Centennial webpage at: www.centennial.provo.edu.   WE ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGING YOU TO PAY THESE FEES ONLINE. There is no fee to do so and in order to pay at the school you will need to call the office and make an appointment to pay.

CLASS CHANGES: No class changes will be made until your fees are paid in full. Class changes will be held the following dates:  August 20th, 23rd, 24th. Class changes from August 20th, 23rd and 24th will cost $5.00. Students who have an incomplete schedule may get their schedule fixed August 9-12 or August 18-19.

Our administration and counseling office have strived to create a personalized schedule for each student based on their needs and submitted course requests. The master schedule for the current school year was created using these requests. For this reason, class schedule changes will only be considered for very specific reasons.

The password is: centennial.  Please be aware that when you sign up for a time this will be the only appointment you will have to make a change.  You may begin scheduling your class change appointment online to meet with a counselor beginning on August 14th at 7:00 AM.

SCHOOL PICTURES AND ACTIVITY CARDS: School pictures will be taken during Timberwolf Orientation Days.  We will be working with Lifetouch Photography.  To order school pictures you will need to go online and pay for them within 48 hours of the picture being taken to avoid a shipping fee. This will be your student’s yearbook picture.  They will also receive their school activity card that day. If they miss these 4 days of pictures there will be a makeup day September 17th where they will receive an activity card.

IMMUNIZATIONS AND VISION SCREENING: We will be doing vision screening during our registration days.  All seventh graders will need their vision screened.  If you have not turned in an immunization record or you are waiving immunizations, please bring these forms with you when you come.

NEW TO PROVO SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENT REGISTRATION: New student registration will be held August 4 thru August 6 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  If you have a new neighbor this summer, please share this information with them.  To register Login to Powerschool by going to https://grades.provo.edu and select ‘New Student Registration’. Then click the link to Pre-Register your student and fill out the one page form. You will then receive an email with a username and password. Return to https://grades.provo.edu and enter your username and password. Click the Applications Icon next to the words “click on SchoolForms–>” located in the dark blue divider bar at the top of the screen. A small window will appear on the right side. Click the link – School Forms and follow the instructions on the School Forms pages. Once you reach the last page and have clicked the box Confirm Form is Complete and entered your name, you have updated your student’s School Forms., then schedule an appointment to complete registration and bring the following: Immunization Records, proof of residency (lease or mortgage agreement or a Provo City Utility or Questar Gas bill), Birth Certificate.

Centennial is committed to limiting the use of paper as much as possible. Please login into Power School and update the Parent/Guardian’s email address, address and phone numbers. We will send you our summer packet information as well as provide you with weekly emails on the events at Centennial.

Espero que usted al igual que su familia esten disfrutando del verano.  Para nosotros, aquí en Centennial, ha sido un verano productivo pues nos hemos estado preparando para el próximo año escolar. DÍAS DE HORARIO DE CLASES/ORIENTACION: Todos los estudiantes necesitan asistir a los días de orientacion.  Tendrán la oportunidad de completar varios requisitos importantes, tal como pagar las cuotas escolares, recoger el horario de clases, y sacarse la foto de la escuela.  Anticipamos que tomará aproximadamente de 30 minutos completar todas las actividades.  Vamos a mandar un  correo con link de Sign Up Genius para que puedan seleccionar una cita de solo 3o minutos para venir a registrarse.

Estudiantes que no vengan a orientacion en los días de inscripción (9 de agosto al 12 de agosto) no recibirán sus horarios hasta el primer día de clases.

PAGO DE CUOTAS EN LÍNEA: A partir del 3 de agosto de 2021, los padres y los estudiantes podrán pagar por todas las cuotas de las clases.  También se puede acceder al sitio desde la página web de Centennial yendo a: www.centennial.provo.edu

CAMBIOS DE CLASES: No se cambiará ninguna clase hasta que sus honorarios sean pagados en su totalidad. Los cambios de clases se realizarán los siguientes días: el 9-12  y el 18,19 agosto serán solamente para estudiantes que tienen horarios INCOMPLETOS Todos los demás cambios de clases se realizarán del 20 y 23, 24 de agosto. Los cambios de clase del 20,23,24  de agosto les costarán $5.00.

Nuestra administración y oficina de consejería han estado trabajando en personalidad los horarios de cada estudiante basado en sus necesidades de cada estudiante y solicitud de curso enviada. El horario principal del año escolar corriente fue creado por solicitud de cada  estudiante. Por esta razón, los cambios de clases sólo serán considerados por una razón específica.

Cuando reciba el horario de su estudiante, verá su horario actual y también verá todas clases que su estudiante seleccionó cuando se inscribió. Si el horario de su estudiante contiene clases que eligió cuando se inscribió, no haremos cambios en su horario. Esto fue discutido con su estudiante durante la noche de padres del sexto grado, y cuando se reunieron con los consejeros para discutir la inscripción.

La contraseña es centennial.  Por favor tenga en cuenta que cuando se apunte por un tiempo esta será la única cita que tendrá para hacer cambios. Se podrán hacer citas en línea, para reunirse con el consejero, comenzando el 14 de agosto a las 7:00 AM.

Esto es diferente a como lo hemos hecho en años anteriores, pero esperamos que el tener una cita sea más fácil y resulte en menos tiempo de espera para usted y su estudiante.

LAS FOTOS DE LA ESCUELA Y TARJETAS DE ACTIVIDADES:

Las fotos de la escuela serán tomadas durante los Días de Orientacion. La compañia de fotografía será Lifetouch Photography. Para pedir las fotos de la escuela tendrá que ir en línea y pagar por ellas, dentro de 48 horas de haber sido tomada la foto, para evitar cargos de envíoEsta será la foto que usaremos de su estudiante en el anuario. Los estudiantes también recibirán su tarjetas de actividades escolares ese día.

EXAMEN DE LA VISTA: Vamos a hacer los examenes de la vista durante los días de inscripción. Todos los estudiantes de séptimo grado necesitan que su visión sea examinada. Si usted tiene una exención de vacunas, por favor traígala con usted cuando venga a la escuela.

INSCRIPCION DE ESTUDIANTES NUEVOS AL DISTRITO DE PROVO: La inscripción para estudiantes nuevos se llevará a cabo del 4 de agosto al 6 de agosto de 9:00 AM

a 2:00 PM. Si tiene algún vecino nuevo este verano, por favor, comparta esta información con ellos. Para registrarse, vaya a forms.provo.edu y llene toda la información, Cuando ya fijaron una cita y completaron la registración.Por favor, traiga los siguientes documentos: registro de vacunas, prueba de residencia (contrato de renta o de hipoteca o una factura de Provo City Utilities o de Questar Gas) y el Acta de Nacimiento.

Centennial se compromete a limitar el uso de papel tanto como sea posible. Por favor, entre a Power School y actualice la dirección de correo electrónico del padre/tutor. Le enviaremos nuestro paquete de verano con toda la información de la escuela, y también le enviaremos correos electrónicos semanales con información de las actividades en Centennial.

Si necesitan hablar con la registradora antes del 2 de agosto,por favor mandar un correo electrónico a lisav@provo.edu y ella fijará una cita con usted.
