Dear Parents:

Welcome to another school year!  I am really excited to have the opportunity to teach your student and work with you this year

Our class will be a very structured, nurturing environment.  We want to create an optimal “environment for learning.”  Our class work and activities will be based on your student’s IEP goals. We will also be working on adapting to middle school as well as other social and group behaviors.  Your student may also have the opportunity to take other appropriate classes in the school.  Please feel free to visit with me about ways I can best help your child learn or any other concerns you may have.

Each child in the class will receive a student tracker and folder they will bring home every day. This will give you an idea about behavior at school as well as contain permission slips, disclosure documents, and any other papers I send home. I will update you as often as I can letting you know how the day went, successes or any concerns or information I need to pass on to you using Class Dojo. You will have received an invitation to Class Dojo in your email. Please feel free to use this in the same way to communicate back to me. Consistent communication between home and school will, I’m sure, promote success for our students.
