Dress Code

Student apparel must be in compliance with Provo City School District’s Safe and Orderly Schools Policy.

All clothing must conceal undergarments and cover the areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, and from the chest down to the thighs. Tops must have shoulder straps wider than a spaghetti strap.

Hats and other Headwear will be allowed unless they impede the vision and/or learning of other students as determined by administration.

Shoes must be worn at all times. No “wheelie” type shoes are permitted at school.

Sunglasses are not permitted in the school unless prescribed by a doctor.

Clothing and items considered gang-related will not be permitted.

Clothing items with vulgar words, profane or obscene slogans, depictions of violence, or advertisements for alcohol, tobacco, drugs or other inappropriate items are not allowed.

Students who are in violation of the dress standards may be asked to contact home or be loaned appropriate clothes in a discreet manner that does not interrupt learning. School administrators reserve the right to address and enforce dress code concerns as they deem appropriate.
